City of Sweetwater Well Field

eHT provided professional services to the City of Sweetwater in locating and developing a water well field consisting of 2,380 productive surface acres, with a production capacity of 6 MGD. eHT geologists made recommendations for potential well sites and provided well site supervision for the advancement of 55 test holes and the subsequent design and installation of 28 municipal water supply wells. eHT engineers designed a 45-mile pipeline “network” to collect the water and transport it to a centralized ground storage tank. Well water is pumped from the centralized storage using a new pump station designed by eHT, along with approximately 12-miles of transmission piping. Well water is delivered to Sweetwater’s surface water treatment plant for disinfection and is combined with treated surface water for distribution.
